Dinner For A Cause... A Serenade
Our "Dinner For A Cause... A Serenade" has been moved to October 1, 6pm - 9pm. This will be held at the function hall next to Baguio Cathedral (above the Kinder Care). We are hoping to use the event to provide chaplain training (CPE) scholarships for clergy and seminarians of limited financial means. Basic First Aid and Health for STMers
Asia Vision-Short Term Missions is a Baguio-based organization that trains and sends short-term missionaries to Southeast and Central Asia. Celia, the training coordinator of Bukal Life, will be speaking on basic first aid and health for missionaries. This is the third year she has done this as part of the AV-STM training program for mission interns.

"Shepherd in Every Classroom" training will be held for teachers at Union School in Baguio City. Sorry, this is not an open event. The training utilizes the format of "Shepherd in Every Pew" a training program to help laity in churches to be effective in lay counseling... but adapts it for the teacher in the classroom.

It is Christmas Eve. Day of celebration, worship, family and friends. Some of us at Bukal Life Care & Counseling Center will be joining together on Christmas Day.
Others are travelling or with family. We are enjoying our break, but will be back to being busy in January.

Blood Drive, Baguio City
We don't have the exact date. However, we plan to have blood drive with the Baguio Chapter of the Philippine National Red Cross. It will be at the office of Lifestyles 2nd floor on Bonafacio Street across from Saint Louis University. Thanks to Joey and Grace Mercedes for allowing us to use their office for this worthy ministry. We will be giving specific details as they are worked out.

Chaplain Charlie Benton, Counselor with the Virginia Baptist Disaster Response Team, will be teaching "Disaster Response Counseling" (PC-377) during Summer Institute at Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary. The class will meet 3 hours daily from April 13 - April 24. Registration will be on the 12th. Chaplain Benton ...will be here as a joint effort of the Virginia Baptist Mission Board, PBTS, and Shepherd's Oikos

Tentatively have planned a 3-day workshop in Principles of Wholistic community development. It will be held April 20-22 in Baguio City. This will be sandwiched between two medical missions. The first is a medical follow-up mission on the 17th in Gaswiling, Kapangan. The second is a church-planting medical mission on the 24th in Bagyonas, Kapangan. It is hoped the training can be of value for follow-on work there. The medical missions have limited space available. However, if you are interested in the COMDEV work, please contact us.
